Travel insurance benefits for students
If you’re an overseas student residing in Australia and looking to take a travel break around Australia or overseas, you may want to consider travel insurance for your trip. Some of the travel insurance benefits you may have access to include the following:
Overseas medical expenses: If you fall ill or are injured whilst travelling on your trip outside of Australia, cover for reasonable and necessary emergency medical and hospital expenses incurred overseas for a new illness or injury may be available. Please note there is no cover for any medical, hospital, dental or ambulance expenses you incur in Australia.
Lost, stolen or damaged luggage and personal effects: If your belongings are lost, stolen, or damaged, whilst on your trip, we may cover replacement or repair costs. Depreciation applies.
Cancellation or holiday deferment costs: If your trip plans change due to an insured event, there may be cover for the non-refundable portion of your pre-paid travel arrangements.
The features and benefits described are a summary of cover only. Cover is subject to the full terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions outlined in the Product Disclosure Statement.
